Norwegian photographer Frøydis Geithus, comes from an artistic family and has always looked up to her father, an amateur photographer himself. From an early age, learning the art of photography with multiple Nikon cameras, she realised she could express herself like never before and hasn’t looked back since.

Capturing a wedding is so much fun, and so humbling. I adore being able to immortalise the most sacred moments for people to relive their special day for years to come.

“I received my first camera, a Nikon Nikkormat, when I was eight years old and so I’ve always been a Nikon photographer – I haven’t shot on anything else. The main reason is that none of my cameras, (from my early collection consisting of a Nikon F3 and Nikon F100, to my current kit) have ever failed me. The innovation of Nikon’s equipment helps to ensure that my creativity is always flowing, whatever the project I’m working on.

When I work, I see the whole picture or finished scene in my mind before I start shooting, and throughout the process I try different angles and compositions to find the right moment to press the shutter. The dynamic range and ISO capabilities of the Nikon cameras I use today are so good the sky is the limit for my photography. Nikon liberates me to create photos I could only dream of capturing before.

Being a Nikon Ambassador makes me a better photographer but it is so much more than photography, it is a family.”
