Ambassador•Sports Photography

Ina has had an interest in photography from a young age, learning the basics from her father who was a keen amateur photographer. After school, Ina volunteered for her local monthly magazine called “Wuppertaler Staz”, photographing images that followed the societal themes at the time. Around this time, her sister became a press photographer at Werek sports photo agency and asked Ina if she would like to train as a sports photographer at the same agency, which she then joined in 1989.
What I love most about photography is that it is constantly evolving and changing, so there is always something new to learn.
As a photographer, it’s always important to know your camera inside out and be able to operate them ‘blind’, which I find easy when shooting with Nikon. It has been a quantum leap switching to the Z series, the colours are perfect, the autofocus is incredible and the high frame rates enable you to capture every moment, which is important when focusing on movement in sport photography. The Z series’ eye auto focus stands out as a key feature to me, as it offers security when shooting video content, which is becoming more and more important within my areas of photography.
